Ian Walmsley elected OSA Vice-President

Prof Ian Walmsley, member of the Oxford Photonics Network, has been elected by the membership of the Optical Society (OSA) to be the society's Vice-President in 2016.  By accepting the vice presidency, Walmsley makes a four-year commitment to OSA's Board of Directors. He will serve one year as vice president, followed by one year as president-elect, president in 2018 and past-president in 2019.  Prof Walmsley is Hooke Professor of Physics and currently Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at Oxford.
