Alexander "Alex" Lvovsky is a leading experimental physicist at Oxford whose research spans quantum optics, quantum information, and optical computing. The primary current focus of his group is optical neural networks that leverage quantum optical phenomena for ultra-fast, energy-efficient computation, machine vision, and sensing applications. Alexander founded Lumai, a spin-off enterprise commercializing optical neural network technology and COMPOS, a nationwide outreach program for UK state school students, offering high-level physics and mathematics tutorials to senior secondary school students.
